Home Inspections

Protecting Home Buyers Since 2010

Home Inspector
Home Inspection Certificate

Buying a home is not something most people do every day. Our home inspection is a visual process where hundreds of items typically found in a home are inspected and/or operated to verify proper function and installation. Many details in a home can be overlooked in the excitement (and sometimes stress) of finding a new home. Peter will use his trained eyes (and a few gadgets) to check the home and advise you of the overall condition. Our home inspection can help eliminate concerns and give you the information you need to help make an informed decision.

Water Quality Tests, Wood Destroying Organisms/Termites (WDO) or Septic System Inspections

Home Inspector

Often one or more of these inspections is required by your lender. We use a certified laboratory to test water samples we take from your home. The typical water test is for the presence of E. coli and general coliforms. Depending on your need, the lab can test for other contaminants that may be present in the water.

Our WDO inspection includes identifying insects such as termites, carpenter ants, powder post beetles, etc., and noting any structural damage caused by WDO. Our septic system inspection includes a dye test for leaks, waste water flow rate test & drain field walk over inspection.

Alternative Energy Inspections, Solar and Wind Turbine

Home Inspector

We can provide inspections of residential solar electric grid tie-ins, wind turbine electric energy and solar thermal heating systems. We see a wide variety of installations and materials installed and most work well, but sometimes even a minor improvement (sometimes to the house and not the power source) could make a huge difference in energy efficiency.

New Construction, Additions, Renovation, Warranty Home Inspections

Home Inspector

Inspections of newly constructed homes, major renovations or room additions are just like home inspections. Having our inspection gives you an unbiased third-party opinion on the proper operation and installation of the components and will help you prepare questions for the builder/contractor. To reduce the chance of hidden defects, have us inspect the home just before drywall is installed and again at completion.

Seller Home Inspections: Move-In Certified Home Program (Pre-Listing Inspection)

Move-In Certificate

Pre-Listing inspections are very good for homeowners whom may not be in tune with the condition of the home as seen through a professional’s eyes or just want to set some priorities. Too many sales are cancelled after a buyer finds a major repair or safety concern exists. Having us inspect the home prior to placing it on the market is the ideal way to identify and either repair or disclose an issue.
